I am just starting an adventure with armagnacs. It does sound quite mysterious, but certainly better than a loud shout “I will drink French brandy – beginnig today!”. In any case, this is exactly what armagnacs are – brandy or rather wine distillates, and my palate simply wanted to experience something new.
I consider myself as an relatively mature adult and I have to admit that I have been drinking alcohol for some time (especially whisk(e)y). I do not believe I have the courage to write such a passion in CV in the “interests” section but the facts are not worthing any polemics. When someone seriously accuses me of alcoholism, immoderate in drinking, defeatism and the fall of morality, I will parry with a shield just like Captain America fighting the legions of antagonists, and my shield will be the Word, and the Word will be “tasting”. I taste alcohol, like some others, it means that I do not “drink”, I do not “tope”, I do not “guzzle” etc. Thus, I do relish and seek the beuty of taste hidden in this or that liquor filled undeniably with ethanol.
The world of whisky has become close to me few years ago. I must admit that it is very noble category of liquor. I have the impression that everyone know what is the “water of life”; whisky is trendy; you may invest in whiskyl whisky festivals are being organized, etc. As it comes to whisky Poland is not particularly far from the rest of the world. World of strong alcohols is hawever slightly wider than just barley distillates. I believe that armagnacs are extremely interesing category of liquors and my role through this humble blog is to bring closer their astonishing various flavor.
